After the big success of our previous article entitled “Would Pussy ever be allowed in Lebanon?” which discussed a foreign energy drink controversially named Pussy and wondered whether it would ever make it to the local markets, we were surprised to discover that even our local, conservatively named “Beerit Al Rayyis” by Almaza, was being forbidden from advertising in Tripoli!
This pushed us to wonder even more about the effect of such behavior on international brands which we sometimes blame for not choosing Lebanon as their regional headquarters.
One such brand was revealed to us by a friend who sent us from Spain an awkwardly named Hotel chain: Ayre Hotel!
Ayre also has a high 4.5/5 score on Trip Advisor with more than 500 reviews from people who have tried it.
What do people that have been to Ayre have to say about it?
These good reviews do not come out of nowhere, they are most probably due to a great service and excellent offers such as spending “Summer with Ayre” for a 20% discount.
This said, would such a hotel ever open its doors in Lebanon or will its name, despite its innocent coincidental meaning, cause some local influential people to exerce their freedom to ban while restricting our freedom to live?
Would Ayre ever be allowed in Lebanon?
