Tarzan spotted in Hamra!

We were not sure whether this was a scene from Tarzan, Die Hard or just a regular eccentric manifestation of the Lebanese society.

A construction worker, hanging freely from a crane in Hamra, was performing this dangerous acrobatic move above the Ministry of Tourism and at the eye sight of police and security forces.

If such a risky behavior is not forbidden by law then we have a big problem, if it is but not enforced then the problem is even bigger!

Oh are they putting up more concrete walls blocking off more sidewalks?
But those are not any kind of concrete walls, those are patriotic Lebanese walls!
Beirutis, rejoice. Have you tried walking anywhere in Beirut lately? Whether you like it (like Tarzan up there) or not, our lives are being put in ridiculous danger by the lack of regulations and safety consideration all under the pretext of “security measures”.

Well said Fadi, couldn’t agree more. Regulation and Enforcement are the two keywords for real change.
