Long before “Malakit Jamel El Falafel” and “Malakit Jamel el 3Enab” competed with our National Miss Lebanon Pageant and long before this title became a competition among look a-likes who all share the love of “Moutala3a” and “Roukoub El Kheil”, the Miss Lebanon Beauty Pageant was a National event that made all Lebanese proud.
Saturday morning, the National News Agency reported that the first “official” Miss Lebanon, Gladys Joseph Tabet, passed away, taking with her proud memories of her election in 1959 and her representation of Lebanon and the Arab World in the 1960’s Miss Universe pageant in Miami where she was elected as Miss Elegance.
