If you’ve ever been abroad, you may have come across some products, advertisements, or even complete stores fully dedicated to left-handers. However, this concept remains strange to us in the local Lebanese market.
Well not anymore.
In fact, in its Stabilo road ads during the current “Back to School” period, “Bassile Freres”, exclusive Stabilo partner in Lebanon, decided to target left-handers in what could be the first of its kind campaign on the Lebanese market.
The visual displayed on LED’s used circular symbols to promote the availability of pens which are left-handers friendly and which can be found on the brand’s packaging.
While this may differ from one country to another, left-handers usually constitute around 10% of society and are often faced with historical “discrimination” for being perceived as odd or different. This discrimination is reinforced since childhood by the absence of left handed school desks, scissors or even can openers.
On another hand (no pun intended), history seems to be giving left-handers their rights back by acknowledging some skills that are advantegous to them.
In fact, left -handers are said to be more creative, better at multitasking and most importantly have a higher chance of becoming the next US president!
Kudos for Bassile Frere’s team who proved their ability to be pioneers in promoting this concept in the market and of course for Stabilo for originally providing this product to the world!
